Product Description The world of Azeroth teemed with Elves and Dwarves walking among tribes of man in harmony. Now comes the demonic army known as the Burning Legion. Orcs, Dragons, Goblins, and Trolls all vie for supremacy over the scattered, warring kingdoms -- part of a scheme that will determine the fate of the world of Warcraft. The noble Paladin, Tirion Fordring, must decide who are the men, and who the monsters.

| Customer Reviews: Pure Cliche September 13, 2009 Brian J. Perusek 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book is pure cliche, start to finish. I read it as part of the Warcraft Archive and it was by far and away the worst book of the four. It's great to get the backstory on Tirion Fordring, but the story was short, uninspired, and full of two dimensional, cliche characters.
Wants more July 13, 2006 A D Bugarin (IL USA) Good story, interesting insight to warcraft fans , short though leaving you to wanting to know whats next. Hoping for continued episode or sequel if any.
Enjoyable Romp! January 30, 2006 Toby Fyfe (Swanstrom, NC) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I thorougly enjoyed this story. The many diverse creatures and the battles makes your blood pump quickly when all hell breaks loose. If you like war books of a fantasy slant, then you'll like this e-book
Another good e-book I've recently read is The Unsuspecting Mage by Brian S. Pratt. This e-book/paperback is a good read with many battles, though not so much in the way of exotic races. But, still, it has battles, gods, magic and gets right to the good stuff by the end of the first chapter. If you like epic fantasy, you'd like that one too.
Outstanding, provisionally... April 3, 2003 17 out of 19 found this review helpful
Mr. Metzen's 'Of Blood and Honor' is a stirring tale of a paladin's struggle between duty and honor. It is also a metaphor for racial hatreds and the blind injustices that sometimes result. I found this short tale charming and immersive. A quick note of caution. This being my first Adobe e-reader format e-book purchase, I was disappointed to discover that the 'permissions' (or lack thereof) make the book unprintable. Also, the download is registered by both the server from which it is downloaded and by the e-reader software on the computer to which it is downloaded. Ultimately, what this means is: Make sure you are willing to read this only from a monitor. You also cannot make backup copies, nor can you download the book again if something goes amiss (although I'm sure with a quick e-mail, Amazon.com will hook you up). Technical media issues aside, the book is worth the price. Enjoy it.
Overall Well Written April 20, 2001 10 out of 12 found this review helpful
Blood and Honor was very comparable to Day of the Dragon, the other Warcraft book. The character of Fordring and the inner turmoil he faces are very well developed and the impact that his decisions have make for some wonderful plot twists. The book does a great job at foreshadowing more to come and there's even some surprise visitors in the book! Probably my only complaint and this is minor is the appearence of certain characters in the novel that I had believed something else had occured to them in the games. This is maybe a little picky and doesn't detract from the overall story, just thought it was interesting. I highly recommend this book, it's a quick read and keeps those epages turning!
